Get ready for a wild ride as South Park returns with a bang, leaving us with a chilling thought: could Eric Cartman, of all people, be our savior against the forces of evil?
The show's latest episode, listed as a mysterious season 28, episode 1, picks up right where we left off, and it's a doozy.
At South Park Elementary, a bizarre meme has taken over, with kids saying '6-7' for reasons unknown, driving parents and teachers crazy. It all stems from a song by rapper Skrilla, and it's a phenomenon that has everyone scratching their heads. Cartman, obsessed with the joke, ends up puking non-stop, but is it just a joke, or something more sinister?
Enter tech billionaire Peter Thiel, who, along with J.D. Vance, has a plan to stop the birth of the Antichrist - none other than Donald Trump and Satan's offspring. Thiel's plan involves Trump trying to sneakily abort the Antichrist, but it backfires, leading him to seek out an expert - Thiel himself.
As the episode unfolds, we see Thiel take control of the school's security system, downloading student data and observing the kids' every move. He even accuses Jesus of being a 'Nosey Nancy' when he protests the surveillance, and is promptly removed by PC Principal.
But here's where it gets controversial... Thiel's true motives are revealed as a scheme to obtain global data. He pays a visit to Cartman, in a scene reminiscent of The Exorcist, and concludes that Cartman might be the key to stopping the Antichrist.
"We have to unlock his secrets, no matter the cost," Thiel declares.
Meanwhile, Jesus, on a double date with PC Principal and Peggy Rockbottom, can't take the twisted version of Christianity anymore. He confronts PC Principal, calling out his bullying tactics, and then heads out to contemplate the state of the world. In a bold move, he takes Ms. Rockbottom back to his place, embracing his bro-like tendencies.
The plot thickens, and we're left with more questions than answers. Will Cartman really be the hero we need? And what's Thiel's endgame?
This two-part episode will conclude in two weeks, leaving us on the edge of our seats. South Park continues to push boundaries and spark conversations, and we can't wait to see how this story unfolds.
Don't miss the next installment of this ratings-smashing season, airing on Comedy Central.
And remember, folks, sometimes the answers we seek are found in the most unexpected places.
